I did promise you guys poetry. This one is inspired by a close friend of mine and all the first guy to break my heart. Here you go. it's called.
I was a rose in a field of dandelions
He decided he wanted to me to grow and thrive
But first he plucked my thorns
All of my defenses gone
Then he replanted me in artificial sunlight
Which forced my petals to prematurely bloom
The bees drank of my sweet nectar freely
They took from my beauty selfishly for themselves
And since I was the only rose in the garden
They kept coming
Soon, I found them to be leeches
So he fed me pesticides
And though it poisoned my system
It kept the bugs away
He wanted to make me thrive
And when I began to wilt under his artificial care
Once the damage had been done
My stem was was pale
My leaves began to fall
He tried to replant me back where it had all began
He tried to put me back in the field
But I could no longer take natures harsh ways
Every wind blow was to strong
Every passerby's stomp was too loud
The sun was too bright
The bees were too rough
I was dying
He had taken my natural beauty
I was broken
I realized I was on my way to becoming them
I wasn't a rose in a field of dandelions
I was the last in what was once a field of roses
And now I was the last of my dead breed
I was now a dandelion in an ordinary field
